I'm sure by now you've seen me post my mini hauls at Trader Joe's. It's not my main grocery store by any means. I honestly just go for all the fun.
I started going during the pandemic and never looked back. Trader Joe's is very affordable and offers a lot of unique products at reasonable prices.
Here's some of my favorite things to buy. I often get these everytime I go.
Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter cups
🔸Wow. These are better than Reese's in my opinion. I love dark chocolate. These little cups just melt in your mouth and a huge cup full of them is only $4.50. They melt in your mouth and are incredibly delicious.
🔸If you aren't willing to commit to a whole container, look near the checkout. They have mini bags with 9 individually wrapped cups for only 99¢ (see photo). That's a great way to try them if you haven't already.
Dumplings
🔸Trader Joe's has just about every type of dumpling. My favorite by far is the soup dumplings. They are a quick snack or easy meal any day.
🔸The chicken is my favorite but I don't mind the pork and ginger version at all. Both are really good. The pot stickers are delicious too. I prefer to steam them which can take a while and requires more than the microwave. They are certainly worth a try.
🔸Be sure to grab a jar of trader joes chili onion crunch and gyoza sauce for dipping.
Elote Dippers
🔸These are the best corn chips. It's honestly not close, sorry tostitos. The Elote seasoning is perfect and plentiful. The chips are thick and crispy, perfect for dipping. I highly recommend trying the Elote dip as well.
Plants
🔸If you're into succulents, air plants, and flowers, definitely take a browse when you walk in. I'm always surprised at what I find. They have a lot of fun items including Grinch trees during the holidays and even the mini Venus fly traps in the spring. It's definitely worth checking out if you're a plant junky like me.
Wine
🔸Trader Joe's has a massive wine selection. Reds, whites, even canned options. They have something for everyone. I can't say I have a favorite pick, but it's definitely always fun to browse and see what's available. If you have a favorite, let me know in the comments.
