MUST TRY GHOST KITCHENS in Columbus

Y'all, it's COLD outside, so let's talk about ghost kitchens. Who else loves a quick and convenient meal .

More and more local chefs are opening kitchens around the city. Here's my take and my recommendation for the kitchens you should try in Columbus.

Ghost Kitchen= pick up/delivery focused kitchens. You order online and either pick up yourself or let Uber/ doordash do it for you. A lot of the local kitchens do accept walk in orders, however, keep in mind there may be a wait if they get an online rush at the time you arrive.

Most of these kitchens are staffed by 1 or 2 people, that's it. Usually it's the owner/head chef and an employee. Be patient, especially if you walk in. Personally, I like to call in my orders when possible. This also saves them the crazy Uber/door dash processing fees.

Here's a short list of my MUST TRY local ghost kitchens and my recommended orders for each.

Three MUST TRY GHOST KITCHENS in Columbus!

1) Ana Shawarma

🔸This place simply never disappoints. Their namesake Shawarma is incredible. The most tender and flavorful meat around. You can snag a bowl for lunch on Mon-Thurs for only $10. A steal!

🔸Aside from the shawarma, please trust me when I say the WINGS compete with anyone in town. The homemade buffalo sauce is my favorite buffalo sauce ever, and the sweet chili is not far behind.

🔸They offer Philly Cheese steaks and the tik Tok famous chopped cheese too. Check them out ASAP.

2) Steph's Way

🔸This Frankington walk up window was one of the first ghost kitchen concepts in town. It has housed many local places and is now home to Steph's Way.

🔸Steph is serving up some incredible wings, tacos and sandwiches. You will not find his wing sauces anywhere else in town. They are unique and well worth the trip. I recommend ordering your wings Steph's Way or Toxic.

🔸The morning wood sandwich is the talk of the town right now. I have yet to try it, but from the reviews I've seen, it's high on the must try list. Stay tuned, as I will be working my through the menu over the next few weeks.

3) Shakers Remote Kitchen

🔸Shakers has opened up at the Westside Amvets 1928 hall. While they work to rebuild, you can catch their crisp wings here M-F 11am-4pm, and all day on Saturdays.

🔸My favorite sauce is garlic Menace mixed with hot beffalo or the shapeshift spicy dry rub. Wings can be ordered breaded or naked. I like both. I highly recommend checking them out. On Wednesdays, 11-4pm, you can snag 6 wings for $5.
