Let's Eat at Pizza Nerds in Newark, OH.
This is one of my absolute favorite places for pizza. I love the 90s theme. They have several old school movie posters and action figures throughout the shop.
They also have a giant cookie monster stuffed animal and a few life size wwe cutouts. This place is so fun.
Let's Talk food....wow. The pizza crust is unreal. It's like a hybrid Detroit/grandma style. Crispy carmalized edge, yet not as thick as a traditional Detroit pie.
The cheese is plentiful and fresh, and they offer a myriad of toppings, including fresh smoked pulled chicken from local favorite Ray Ray's Hog Pit....yum!
My favorite pizza is the Mario (pepperoni, banana peppers, and hot honey) add sausage. They have a nice crumbled sausage that pair nicely with the spice of the honey and banana peppers on this pie.
Don't forget the cheese sticks. I recently tried them and they were certainly the best I've ever had.
If you haven't been to pizza nerds, I highly recommend. It's worth every bit of the 45 minute drive from Columbus. I promise you won't regret it.
